From August to October, apple season brings back one of pastry’s most timeless combinations: apples and dough. In the Netherlands, apple pie might be the most recognizable example, with apples, pastry, sugar and often cinnamon. Across borders, the same pairing takes different forms, from French tarte aux pommes and tarte Tatin to American apple pie and Austrian apfelstrudel.
For our Apple Topper Mold, we turned the classic apple and dough combination with its recognizable woven pattern into a topper that sits directly on a cake base.
